Description
Saffron releases the most colour and flavour when its threads are lightly crushed before steeping. This crystal mortar and pestle is sized for exactly that, and its smooth, non-porous surface never stains or holds on to aromas.
How to use
Add 15–20 threads with a pinch of sugar or salt, grind gently to a coarse powder, then add a few tablespoons of warm water and leave to bloom.
